“It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it”- Lena Horne
Many people have the innate ability to be resilient regardless of their circumstances. Still, even more of us need the guidance and tools needed to reach our ideal state of resiliency; allow me to be that guide.
As your therapist, I will assist you in shaping the behaviors and habits needed to help you on your journey as you go from visualization to gaining perspective where you will be able to put these tools into action. My approach is client-centered and based in warmth, validation, listening without judgement, empathy, and acceptance. I am passionate about helping people of color, aged 20-40, with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions, as these areas and demographics often go unresolved and/or unnoticed.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Delaware State University and a Master’s of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. I have served clients as a therapist and in case management in both agency and private practice settings.
I look forward to guiding you on your journey.
