“Your willingness to look at your darkness is what empowers you to change.”- Iyanla Vanzant

As a Queer Black Woman, I know it can be difficult to find spaces where you feel safe enough to show up authentically and take down your protective armor. My passion is serving the communities I am part of as a guide, so you do not have to do it alone. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA young adults who struggle feeling safety with themselves and others. Whether you are struggling with depression, your sexuality, or trauma, I will be there with you every step of the way, providing a space where your entire self can feel heard, validated, and celebrated.

Often, we do not realize that we already have the tools we need to heal within us; we just have to slow down and turn inwards to find them. As we work together, my goal will be to help you uncover those tools. Just like each of our experiences vary, my approach to therapy with you varies as well. I primarily use Psychodynamic, Somatic, and EMDR therapy modalities to meet you where you are and ensure your individual goals are addressed.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia and continued on to receive my Master of Arts and Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University.

I am looking forward to joining you on your healing journey!
