I often work with people who are self-aware, knowing something isn’t quite right with how they’re feeling, but unsure of how to move forward. Therapy with me often feels like a conversation that flows naturally, with a balance of listening and thoughtful feedback. I specialize in working with people who are among the first in their families to go to therapy. I offer guidance in giving yourself grace while making changes that serve your best interests.
Many people share things with me they haven’t felt safe saying out loud before. I often help them uncover new insights. I am here to offer a supportive space to express yourself and gain perspective.
I know what it’s like to be in survival mode and to struggle to be accepted. I have a passion for equipping others of marginalized identities with tools to help them thrive, so I typically engage with people of color and folks who are LGBTQIA2S+, ethically non-monogamous/polyamorous, neurodivergent, etc., as I identify within all of those communities myself.
I have a Master of Education (Ed.M) in Mental Health Counseling and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychological Counseling, both from Columbia University. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing from Howard University. Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a 10+ year corporate career across several industries, including tech, law, media, and consulting, so I understand what it’s like to desire work/life balance.
